Third time visiting Asian Star and tonight everything was perfect. I advised the host that the past times my order wasn't correct. She assured me that my order will be taken care of. I was extremely happy to see that all my items were correct. I ordered Szechuan Beef and WOW!!!!...it was amazing. We have always liked the food and plan on more trips in the future. 10 out of 10 will be back again!! My mom and I went on a Sunday after church so we expected a small wait, but other than that, the service was good, the food was delicious, and the table was nice and clean.
What a fun find. We were exhausted and hungry and this place was quick and yummy. Sometimes you feel like you're taking a risk but this one paid off.
So when I arrived, I was not greeted but I walked up to the register and they told me to sit anywhere. After that, the cashier/waitress was nice. The food was good and they made it quick. Although the place needs some TLC. The restroom door was dirty, especially the lock and the door handle so I didn't want to grab them with my barehand. I would recommend it base on my first visit.
Who would have thought that in Sallisaw, Ok there would be a good Chinese place? The Asian Star is very good. Shrimp with garlic sauce? My favorite. Just wish they were closer to me......Great place!

Great place to sit down and enjoy your food, family and friends. The worker's are always very nice and friendly. Food is always great. If you don't know about something just ask they are always happy to help.
Not your typical small town Chinese restaurant - Asian Star is delightful for several reasons, first and foremost: The Food! Everything we have had in several visits has been utterly delicious. I tried the udon noodles stir fried with chicken and was blown away. Udon takes a good chef to prepare well and they do it. Seasonings are balanced and appropriate to the dish and the overall flavors were excellent. This is a family restaurant and every server we have had has been helpful, warm and willing to offer suggestions. The restaurant itself is sparkling clean and quiet with a mix for families and couples. They also so a booming carry out business. Don't worry about leaving still hungry, try the wonton egg drop soup (not a typo, it's egg drop soup with wontons) and the crab Rangoon for an appetizer then any entree that piques your interest, you will be very very happy!
What a pleasant surprise. We were traveling 40 East back to NWA and needed dinner. We did not not fast food. So after reading the Yelp reviews we decided to give it a try. We have been looking for good oriental food since we left Ohio. The you g lady who took our order was fantastic. We ordered it to go and the my husband changed his mind and decided to dine in. The young lady accommodated the change without blinking an eye. First off the food was hot!!! Heat hot not flavor hot. It was freshly made. My husband ordered the Sweet and sour chicken with Crab Rangoon and I ordered Mongolian Beef with an egg roll. The Crab Rangoon my husband said was the bomb. Soft but not soggy filling and the outside was perfectly fried. The Sweet and sour sauce was amazing. Perfectly balanced flavor that complimented the dish perfectly. The Mongolian Beef was cooked perfectly. The highlight of my meal was the pork fried rice. The egg roll was a nice compliment to the meal because it gave me an opportunity to enjoy the sweet and sour sauce. I am excited to say we loved the food. We live in NWA and I see trips to Sallisaw in the future to enjoy this oriental cuisine. Well done.
